What's my gun worth?
Determining gun values:
This is one of the most difficult questions to answer on the phone. Typically what we do is have you tell us the Manufacturer, Model and type of gun that you have. Usually you can tell this information as it is many times marked on the firearm. Any markings or symbols you find can also help us. Photos are always very helpful, you can either email us photos, or send us copies of your photos in the regular mail. You also have the option of bringing us your guns where we can review them in person for the most accurate assessment of your items. We will discuss your guns with one of our on staff specialists, we can show them the photos you send us and provide you with a rough estimate of value. We also have a very large database we can reference that gives us a good idea of what we can sell your gun for in one of our auctions.
How do I Ship my Guns?:
First talk to us we have people on the road every month, it may be possible that we can pick up your guns right at your location. After you have spoken with someone here so that we know you are shipping your guns to us, make sure all firearms are not loaded. Next packing is very important. If its a small item like a pistol, use lots of bubble wrap, Styrofoam packing material. For long guns you may want to consider purchasing a plastic gun case, then packing that gun case in bubble wrap and heavy cardboard. Other things to do before shipping.

Insure your items for a value you feel good about. (its rare to have items damaged in shipping if packed properly)

In your shipping boxes please leave a packing list inside each box of what is included along with your contact information.

We use FedEx for most items, however any traceable method is an option (i.e. UPS, Registered Mail).

We are an FFL holder (federal firearms licensee) so it is perfectly legal for you to ship firearms to us.

Antique Firearms - Any firearm made prior to 1899, under federal law may be mailed or shipped between private individuals FFL not required by post office or common carrier.

Modern Firearms - Any firearm made after 1898, are subject to restrictions on mailing & shipping. Generally private individuals that do not have an FFL may ship modern firearms by common carrier to Federally licensed dealers or collectors holding an FFL license.

Mailing Modern Handguns - Mailing of handguns is permitted between FFL Dealers. The wording of this permission does NOT include FFL Collectors. FFL Dealers mailing guns to other FFL Dealers are required to fill out a special post office form on each such mailing.

UPS & FedEx - Both have policies that require handguns to be shipped only by the overnight method.
